Throughout her career, Charlotte Augenstein has worked in nearly every facet of the ICT-DM sector. She brings that experience to her role as Deputy Sector Navigator for the Los Angeles region, a position she began in March.
Augenstein is an experienced leader in technology in the public and private sectors. She has worked in enterprise software, technology marketing, cybersecurity, and more.
Before becoming DSN, Augenstein worked for Microsoft, where she served as Community Outreach and Education. She’s also worked as a technical consultant at Electronic Data System (EDS) and an account executive at Managed Solution.
Outside of work, she’s spent more than a decade as part of the Huntington Beach Educational Foundation and currently serves as the organization’s president. The foundation raises money to support activities throughout the Huntington Beach City School District and works to expand partnerships between businesses, parents, and educational communities to benefit the district’s students. In addition, she is an executive board member with numerous non-profits in Huntington Beach focusing on STEM, Cyber Patriots among other impactful organizations.
Augenstein sees her personal and professional experience aligning to provide new opportunities for ICT-DM students throughout the Los Angeles region.
“You have to be a self-starter, read between the lines, know who the key players are, and who can support your mission to make things better,” she said. “I’ve built these skills throughout my career and look forward to sharing them with students and faculty.”
