Industry Certifications

Industry certifications show a job candidate’s mastery of a specific technology or skill. Today, hiring managers pay special attention to the Certifications section of a resume to find candidates with up-to-date knowledge and proven expertise. Many community college IT classes prepare students for certification exams, and educators can also participate in voucher programs which help off-set the cost of getting certified.
